Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the closest international airport to Monaco. Between stepping off the plane and reaching your Monte-Carlo hotel lie barely thirty kilometres — but a few simple pointers help you arrive relaxed, especially in high season or during the Grand Prix.
Distance and real duration
Monaco lies about 30 kilometres east of Nice Airport. Under normal conditions, allow around 30 minutes via the A8 motorway. At peak times, in July and August or during the Principality's major events, the journey can stretch to 45 minutes or more.
