Monaco Yacht Show: getting there and parking with a chauffeur
Every late September, the Monaco Yacht Show turns Port Hercule into the global showcase of superyachting. Between on-board meetings, receptions and record crowds, reaching the Principality takes a little planning. Here is how to experience the event — and get there stress-free.
A global gathering at Port Hercule
The Monaco Yacht Show brings together, over four days each year, the elite of the thirty-metre-plus yachting world. Superyachts at the quay, tenders, shipyards, brokers and equipment makers: Port Hercule becomes the sector's centre of gravity, in a unique setting between the Rock and Monte-Carlo.
Beyond the invitation-only on-board visits, the show sets the rhythm for the whole Principality: cocktails, dinners and private parties follow one another across town, which explains the exceptional crowds within a very tight perimeter.
Reaching Monaco during the show
From Nice Airport, allow thirty to forty minutes under normal conditions; from Cannes, around an hour via the A8. During the show, these times stretch out: access to Monaco becomes saturated in the late morning and in the evening.
A chauffeur who knows the Principality drops you as close as possible to the Port Hercule entrances and adjusts the approach route to the crowds, rather than circling in search of a way in.
Parking and traffic: the real headache
In Monaco, parking is limited and expensive at the best of times; during the Yacht Show it becomes a genuine challenge. Car parks near the port fill up early and surface traffic is heavy.
Entrusting your travel to a private chauffeur removes that constraint: drop-off and pick-up at the agreed point, with no hunting for a space and no long walk in evening wear.
The comfort of a private chauffeur
For guests moving between on-board visits, meetings and evening events, a chauffeur on standby smooths out the day. You stay focused on your appointments; the vehicle waits and picks you up on time.
Discretion, punctuality and a high-end vehicle set the tone before you even step onto the pontoons — a standard expected at this kind of international event.
Planning your visit well
Demand for vehicles and chauffeurs surges over these four days: booking ahead secures your transport for the whole period. Share your key time slots (arrivals, on-board meetings, evening events) for tightly organised logistics, both to and from Nice or Cannes.
